Warner School District 6-5

The Building Trades students have been applying their Geometry/Math skills to some of the different building processes. The students learned how to lay out a building on an empty lot, run string lines and batter boards, and verify everything is square. They also learned how to use a transit level to read slope and record elevation measurements.

Good luck to the Warner Monarch Football program as they head to Redfield to take on the Pheasants. The JH team will kick things off tonight beginning at 4:30, with the Varsity following at 7:00.

A couple students have been applying their welding/fabrication skills through the process of building a pickup flatbed. While another group of students has been building their heavy equipment operator skills through our two excavator simulators.

Good luck to the Warner Monarch Marching Band as they head to Aberdeen today for the Aberdeen Marching Festival. The Parade will run along 15th Avenue.

The Parade starts at 9:30 AM, with the Monarch Marching Band stepping off at 10:12 AM.

Good luck to the Warner Monarch Volleyball Team as they head to Sioux Falls to play in the Sanford Pentagon Invitational.

The Monarchs will take on Sioux Falls Christian at 9:15 on Court 3, and then Miller on Court 3 at 10:30. After that it will be a bracketed tournament.

Weekly Update 9-29-25

Reminder to all parents using bus services tomorrow; our buses will leave school shortly after the conclusion of the parade with an estimated leave time of 2:15-2:25. We would be arriving at the Sale Barn sometime between 2:30-2:35. Please plan ahead and make arrangements for child to be picked up if you are needing to use the bus for the Sale Barn. All other riders will be dropped off as normal, but times will be early and order may be adjusted based on riders.
