Warner School District 6-5

The environmental science class had the opportunity to learn more about the glacial lake water systems at the Blue Dog Fish Hatchery and the Waubay National Wildlife Refuge. The students observed the various steps of raising some of the freshwater fish of South Dakota lakes and rivers. They also explored trails and tested water samples at the Waubay National Wildlife Refuge.It was a beautiful day to experience real-life applications of science—and, of course, to grab a sweet treat to end the day.

Just a reminder on the Football Signing Day tonight at 6:00 in the Warner Arena. We will sign the current 6th graders into the Warner Football tonight. The incoming Freshmen (current 8th graders) will get their jersey sizes as well as jersey number for next season. Summer schedules and calendars will also be passed out tonight for current 7th - 12th Football Players.

Congratulations to Mattea Kroll and Hayes Roberts in reading 1 millions words in Accelerated Reading. These kids worked hard to reach their reading goals before the end of the year. Way to go!
