Weekly Update for next week
Tomorrow at 5:00 in the Warner Arena, we will have a scrimmage between the 6th and 7th grade boys basketball team.
For the remainder of the school year, the Warner Middle School and High School will be recognizing one boy and one girl in each school.
For the month of January, the Warner Middle School Students of the Month are 7th Grader Alexandria Bunke and 6th Grader Jaren McCord.
Alexandria is a cheerful, kind and caring young lady. In class, she is focused and consistently goes the extra mile, which shows true ownership over her own learning. Alexandria is confident when asking questions, and welcomes feedback. She is committed to success and always puts forth her best effort in not only school, but dance, stem club, and other activities.
Jaren does a great job asking questions! He is such a joy to have in class, and he always seems cheerful!
The Warner High School Students of the Month for January are Junior Brynn Wolberg and Junior Zane Baum.
Brynn is a kind and generous student that extends herself to help other students in our class. Her participation within the class shows her engagement with the material and her motivation to learn more. She has gone above and beyond in the classroom and brings a smile and positive attitude everyday.
Zane treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting differences, and valuing the work that others do. He strives for success in all he does and works to the best of his ability. Zane always has a smile, a positive attitude, and is a joy to have in the classroom.

This Friday the Warner-Northwestern wrestling team will head to Salem to participate in the MCM Round Robin Wrestling Duals. The initial wrestling schedule had the meet beginning at 4:00, but it will actually start at 1:00. Once again, the meet Friday will start at 1:00.
Good luck to our JH Boys Basketball Teams tonight. The 7th and 8th Graders will head to Groton, where the 7th will play at 4:00 and 8th Grade at 5:00. The 6th Graders will head to Aberdeen tonight to play At Trinity Lutheran at 7:00.

The Monarch Boys and Girls Basketball Teams head to Redfield tonight to take on the Pheasants. The Girls JV will tipoff at 4:00, and from there it will be a rolling schedule with Boys JV, Girls Varsity, and Boys Varsity to follow. If you are unable to make it, the game will be livestreamed at www.liveticket.tv (search Redfield). The game will also be livestreamed at Hub City Radio, as well as broadcasted on Fox Sports 1420 AM.
The Redfield Post-Prom Committee is sponsoring a potato bake feed. There will be Chuck-A-Duck at halftime of the girls varsity game, and a Free Throw Shoot at halftime of the boys varsity game.

Have you ever thought of being on the school board? We will have one position open July 1st that is a 3 year position. The Warner School Board meets the second Monday of every month (including summer) and usually has a few special meetings as well. In order to run, you need to reside in the Warner School District. If you are interested, please see the attached on some information on how to circulate a petition. Petitions can start to circulate on March 1st. Please see Mrs. Vetter if you have any questions!!
