🌋 6th Graders Brought the BOOM! 🌋
Our 6th grade scientists have been busy learning, building, and erupting volcanoes! Students chose the type of volcano, magma type and color, and even came up with some pretty creative names for their mountains before putting their designs to the test.
Not every eruption went as planned the first time—and that was the best part! When the first trial didn’t work the way they wanted, students went back to the drawing board, made adjustments, and tried again to get the eruption they were aiming for in the second round. Yes, it was messy! But sometimes that is when the best learning happens! 🌋✨
The matchups are set for the Warner Classic, which will be held next Saturday, February 14th in the Warner Arena. The event will be combined this year, with eight schools each bringing their boys and girls basketball teams. The schedule for the day will be as follows:
9:30 - Boys - Waverly-South Shore vs. Highmore-Harrold
11:00 - Girls - Jones County vs. Waverly-South Shore
12:30 - Boys - James Valley Christian vs. Jones County
2:00 - Girls - Aberdeen Roncalli vs. Highmore-Harrold
3:30 - Girls - Sully Buttes vs. James Valley Christian
5:00 - Boys - Sully Buttes vs. Aberdeen Roncalli
6:30 - Girls - Warner vs. Herreid-Selby Area
8:00 - Boys - Warner vs. Herreid-Selby Area

We’ve been learning, growing, laughing, and high-fiving our way through 100 incredible days of school! It’s been an amazing year so far, and this is just a peek at our first 100 days. We can’t wait to see all the fun, learning, and memories still to come! 💙🦁✨

Experience in school finance, accounting, or business management preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and financial management skills
Responsibilities include (may be adjusted as needed):
Overseeing district financial operations, budgeting, and accounting
Managing payroll, HR files and contracts, purchasing, and financial reporting
Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Working collaboratively with administration, staff, and the school board
Working in a small school brings on "other duties" as needed. Applicant must be willing to help in other areas as needed. This includes helping answer the phones, distributing meds, supervise students, etc.

🥋 Number Ninjas Practice Reminder 📘
Our Math Ninjas have been busy practicing and leveling up! Many students have earned new belts, and it’s been exciting to see their hard work and focus turn into progress.
We’re also proud to share that we’ve added a new purple belt group—way to go! This is a great sign of strong problem-solving skills, determination, and not giving up when math gets tricky.
