The Fourth graders were busy studying the Northeast Native Americans. During their study, they created Native American villages complete with longhouses and wigwams. If you look carefully, you will see the Native Americans hunting, drying skins, and farming.

Yesterday boys grades 3-8 were sent home with a flyer for the Monarch 3 on 3 Basketball League. The league will be played on Sundays from 2:00 - 4:00, starting October 23rd - December 18th (No games on Nov. 13, possibly Nov. 20 & 27). Cost is $25 (payble to Warner School). Each player will receive a t-shirt. Teams will vary from week to week.
Benefits of playing 3 on 3:
-On average, players get 40% more touches
-ALL players will need to share in the handling of the ball
-Nature of game forces players to develop their individual and team defensive skills, particulary help side and ball containment
-Basic principals of offense are essential to 3 on 3: sreen & cut, pass & cut, screen away, drive & dish, etc.
-Faster pace of play which provides more shots, passes, rebounds, defending opportunities, etc.
This event is sponsored by the Warner Boys' JV/Varsity basketball team.
