Warner School Holiday Gift Giving
Let PTCO do the shopping for you!
(Please note: This is not a PTCO fundraiser)
Warner PTCO is offering you the opportunity to contribute to the purchase of holiday cards for the staff at Warner School. PARTICIPATION IS OPTIONAL. You may contribute to one or several staff members that interact with your child(ren). We will purchase no service fee VISA gift cards with the entire contribution going directly to the recipient.
To participate:
Decide which staff members you would like to contribute to and indicate the dollar amount you would like to give them. You may contribute any dollar amount. Your children may contribute to the same staff member, or they may choose to give individually. For example, your son may contribute to his 1st grade teacher, your daughter may contribute to her 3rd grade teacher, and they both may contribute to the bus driver. After all the donations have been collected, PTCO will calculate the total amount for each staff member, and a gift card will be given to the recipient, along with a list of students that contributed. The individual amount given by each student will not be shared. This is a great way to combine resources and recognize staff! This will also eliminate the need for a classroom parent to organize! We are making your holiday shopping easy!
Please return the attached form and payment to:
Warner PTCO
PO Box 20
Warner, SD 57479
Or return to school in envelope labeled PTCO by WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15th.
Thank you and Happy Holidays!
WARNER PTCO

Parents and students,
Infinite Campus Parent Portal provides avenues to student information; everything from grades to assignments to schedules. It also provides access to attendance and tardy information. According to our student handbook, MS/HS students are permitted 3 tardies/semester; students are automatically given 2 Saturday School points for any additional tardy. Upon receiving a 6th tardy the student would have earned enough Saturday School points (5+) to receive a ½ Day of Saturday School. Two additional tardies (8 total) would lead to a Full Day of Saturday School.
The handbook treats unexcused absences similarly without any permitted absences without penalty. Every unexcused absence receives 3 Saturday School points/period. If a student misses an entire day (7 periods) that is 21 Saturday School points and 3 Full Days of Saturday School.
So, if you are wondering why your child has Saturday School but hasn’t mentioned getting any points or you haven’t been contacted by a teacher for discipline issues it may be because of tardies. You can stay current on your child’s tardies and attendance by checking your Parent Portal. Please keep in mind, a student may have only been tardy once for each period (not habitual in the individual teacher’s mind) and they still could have Saturday School.

Rachel's Challenge Club is having a food drive from November 11th - 23rd. Canned food and non-perishable items can be dropped off by the office. This is open for the whole community.
